# TouchPass

TouchPass is a macOS menu bar utility for Apple silicon Macs running macOS 13 or later with enrolled Touch ID. Users first add a password, which is stored locally in the macOS data-protection Keychain.

The default customizable ⌥Space shortcut starts Touch ID approval, then shows saved labels. Choosing an entry types the password into the focused field, or copies it to the clipboard when the user asks for that or when no text field is focused.

Accessibility permission is required. Some secure fields, browsers, terminals, remote desktops, and custom controls are unsupported, and TouchPass does not work at the Mac login screen.

One saved password is free. A one-time USD $5 license enables unlimited saved passwords on two Macs. Passwords do not sync or back up.
